Tommy Russell, 69, of Hardyville passed away Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Hart County Health Care Center.


He was a Hart County native, a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of Three Springs Baptist Church and an avid fisherman and hunter.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Nona Whitlow Russell; three brothers, Verlon, Mitchell and Robert Russell; two sisters, Lois Russell Bush and Adrine Evans.


Surviors include his wife: Brenda Russell of Hardyville; a Daughter: Lisa King  and husband Jason of Horse Cave; a Son: Gary Russell of San Diego, California; Two Granddaughters: Tiffany Sexton and husband Matt and Brianna Riley; Grandson: Camden King; Two Great-Great-Grandchildren: Bryson Sexton and Keyleigh Sexton; Two Brothers: Everett Russell, Knob Lick and Hulon Russell, Hardyville; a Sister: Diane Wells, Smiths Grove. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services for Tommy Russell wll be Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 2 PM at Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in Cosby Cemetery with full military honors by the DAV Chapter #20 of Glasgow.Visitation will be Tuesday at 12 PM to 8 PM and after Wednesday until time of service at the Winn Funeral Home.
