For the 92nd time the Glasgow Barren County Chamber of Commerce gathered last night at the Cave City Convention Center for their annual meeting to celebrate achievements, install officers and enjoy fellowship. Outgoing President Jim Lee served as the master of ceremonies, and he commended the team effort our community makes: No Flash Player detected The gavel was passed to Bill Kindred, CEO of T.J. A number of awards were given last night…3 Ernie awards were given. Ernie recipients are Matt Gumm of Alliance Corporation, Bill Green with Sustainable Glasgow and Glenview Healthcare. Administrative Professional of the year, Tommie Birge, Glasgow City Clerk Ambassador of the Year is Anne Hutchinson of South Central Bank The Sybil Leamon Volunteer of the Year is Kristen Turner Outstanding Citizen of the Year is Community Relief Director Sue Haynes Farmer of the year, sponsored by Southern States, is Don Kinslow who operates a family farm that milks over 750 head of cattle three times per day No Flash Player detected Small Business of the Year, sponsored by Citizens First Bank, was awarded to Square Deal Lumber Company, a 121 year old entity that has served Park City, Cave City, Horse Cave and Glasgow. Bill Bucher spoke in behalf of the company: No Flash Player detected The Protogenia Woman of Achievement Award, sponsored by Goodman Chevrolet, Cadillac, Nissan was awarded to Laura Belcher of T.J.
