Joseph C. Cooke, age  79 of Smiths Grove , KY, passed away  Monday, February 4,  2013 in Bowling Green. He was born June 2, 1933 , the son of  the late John Kirtley and Carrie Lowe Park Cooke and the husband of Flora Whittle Cooke who survives.  The Warren County native was a  Korean War Air Force Veteran, an electronic engineer instructor for Kentucky Advanced Technical Institute and a guide at Mammoth Cave National Park.  He was a member of Beaver Dam Chapel United Baptist Church.

He is survived by his  wife, Flora Whittle Cooke of Smiths Grove, KY; one son, Timothy Cooke of Smiths Grove, KY; one daughter, Marla Jo Cooke of Franklin, KY; three grandchildren, Spencer Cooke, Wendy Fields (Brandon) and Paul Cooke and four great grandchildren, Carson Fields, Julianne Fields, Dawson Fields and Jonah Fields.

Burial will be in the Smiths Grove Cemetery with Bro. Wayne Tomes and Bro. Kenneth Kidd officiating.
