William Porter Gott, 64 of Smiths Grove died Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN. The Warren County native was the son of the late John Clemons Gott and Maggie Blanche Hammonds Gott. He was retired from SKF factory and a farmer, a member of Martinsville Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Brenda Gott; two children, John Carl Gott (Deanna) and Sonya Renee Hawkins (Dale); two stepchildren, Rebecca Lynn Cline and Gary Wayne Frazier; 11 Grandchildren.

Funeral service 1:00 p.m. Friday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Grove Chapel with burial in Martinsville Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
