The Glasgow Fire Department responded to a report of a fire alarm at a warehouse building located at  224 Yates Drive. Upon arrival firefighters found smoke and water coming from the building. Entry was made to the building and the fire was found in several pallets of cardboard. The sprinkler system had activated and had suppressed some of the fire when firefighters arrived; the rest of the fire was knocked down by firefighters. Before the cardboard was removed to the outside of the building the scene was investigated to try and determine the cause of the fire, firefighters were not able to determine the cause of the fire but the area of origin was located.  Firefighters used a positive pressure fan to help remove the remaining smoke from the building.. There were no injuries reported and firefighters were on the scene just over 2 hours. The Glasgow Fire Department would like to thank the Glasgow Water company for bringing a backhoe to the scene to help in removal of the cardboard away from the building, the Barren Metcalfe Ambulance Service, Glasgow Police department, and the Glasgow Street Department.
