Marrs Jackson, 72, of Tompkinsville, KY, passed away  Wednesday, February 20th, while in the company of family members at Monroe County Health and Rehabilitation Center. Marrs was born in Tompkinsville, Ky on June 9, 1940, a son of the late Hattie Marie (Pruitt) and Tas  Jackson. On May 24, 1958 in Monroe County he married Mary Jackson, who survives him. He is the retired owner and operator of Jackson's Shell Station in Tompkinsville. He was also a member of Mt. Gilead Church of Christ

Marrs is  survived by two daughters, Sharon (Brett) McCreary, of Chattanooga, TN; and Kim (Billy) Flanary, of Glasgow, KY;  by 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Marrs is also survived by two sisters, Jean  Hunter, of Tompkinsville, KY and Frances  Grimsley, of Glasgow, KY.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Tas and Hattie Jackson, and three sisters; Zora Thompson, Alice Cain and Melene Goforth.

Funeral services will be held at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY, at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 22nd,  with John Osgatharp and Tim McHenry officiating. Visitation is Thursday, February 21 after 5:00 P.M. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.

Burial will be in the Monroe County Memorial Lawn. Family request donations to Alzheimer's Association.
