James W. Newman, age 92, of Brownsville, KY, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013, at Magnolia Village in Bowling Green, KY. He was a retired draftsman for US Army, enjoyed archery, painting and being a pilot. He was a member of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church.

The Logan county native was born April 21, 1920 to the late Edward Newman and the late Nora B. Davis Newman Tabor. He was the husband of the late Anna Marie Wimsatt Newman and the late Mary E. Brooks Newman.

He is survived by two daughters: Barbara Zalac (Frank), Lowellville, OH, Carolyn Lashley (Donald), Louisville, KY; four sons: James Newman (Joyce), Lanesville, IN, John Newman (Rita), Louisville, KY, Ronald Newman, Louisville, KY, Mark Newman (Pamela), Louisville, KY; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Father Randy Howard will officiate. Interment will be at Cove Hollow Cemetery, Mammoth Cave, KY.
