The Glasgow Police Department will have a new home, at least for the next three years.  The Glasgow City Council voted to enter into a lease agreement with option to purchase the property located at 100 South Broadway in downtown Glasgow.  Glasgow Mayor Rhonda Trautman has more on what the move means to the department.

Last night’s meeting was a lengthy one.  The council went into closed session to discuss personnel matters, but no action regarding personnel was taken.

The council did pass an ordinance the would add an element to the Glasgow Alternative Transportation Endeavor, also known as G.A.T.E..  This will help the city acquire funding for alternative ways for both citizens and tourists to travel by alternative green methods throughout Glasgow and surrounding Barren County communities.  Some of that funding would come from state and federal grants.
