Zelma Mae Hale, 87 of  Tompkinsville, Kentucky passed away Sunday, March 3rd at Monroe County Medical Center. She was born in Tompkinsville, KY on May 24, 1925, a daughter of the late Lucy (Muse) and Tom Gearlds. On August 1, 1977 in Tompkinsville, KY she married Eugene Hale who precedes her in death. She worked as a Housekeeper at Monroe County Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by two daughters: Susie Jean Young and Joyce Simmons, both of Tompkinsville, KY; three sons: Charles Hale, Jerry  Hale, and Terry Lee Hale,  all of Tompkinsville, KY; 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Lucy Gearlds, her husband, Eugene Hale, a son, Jack Hale, three brothers, Esko Gearlds, Irvin Gearlds, and Terry Gearlds, and three sisters, Ella Gordon, Thelma Wyatt, and Maureen Wyatt.

Funeral services will be conducted at Yokley Trible Funeral Home at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 6, with Bro. Gary Emberton officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 5 after 10:00 A.M. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home and Wednesday, March 6, from 6:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M.

Burial will be in the Neal Cemetery.
