On Monday, at 3:43 p.m. Kentucky State Police

Trooper Greg Dukes responded to Interstate 65 at the 6 mile marker southbound in

Simpson County, Kentucky regarding a hit and run two vehicle injury collision.

 

Mr. Robert E. Johnson (68) of Bowling Green, KY was operating a 1997 Dodge pick up

traveling southbound on Interstate 65 around the six mile marker when a Commercial

Motor Vehicle which was also southbound on Interstate 65 merged into his lane of

travel.

 

The Commercial Motor Vehicle struck Mr. Johnson's left front fender causing minor

damage to Mr. Johnson's vehicle. The Commercial Motor Vehicle failed to stop and

continued traveling southbound on Interstate 65.

 

Mr. Johnson was complaining with neck pain at the scene of the collision but was not

transported to the hospital.

 

The hit and run Commercial Motor Vehicle is described as Yellow in color pulling a

trailer with some type of heavy machinery equipment on the trailer.
