Dorthy Opal Turner, 88, of Tompkinsville, KY, passed away Monday, March 4th, at Monroe County Medical Center. Dorthy was born in Monroe County on March 1, 1925, a daughter of the late Melissa (Murley) and Lewis Turner. She worked as a waitress.

Dorthy is  survived by her niece, Mary Hume, of Tompkinsville, and a sister, Delma  Skaggs, of Park City, KY.

She is preceded in death by her brother's, Elmer, Fred, Bedford and Paul Turner and sister's, Grace Scott, Nancy Boyd, and Sally Roddy.

Funeral services will be held  at Yokley Trible Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 7th,  with Jack Paul Scott officiating. Visitation begins on Wednesday, March 6, after 4:00 P.M. and Thursday from 6:00-11:00 A.M.  at Yokley Trible Funeral Home. Graveside services and burial will be at 1:00 P.M. at Cave City Cemetery.
