Maxine Sparks Cole, 95 of Bowling Green passed away Saturday, March 16,2013 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home.Maxine was born to the late Talmadge and Bobbie Sparks of Cumberland County. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Jim Cheek Cole and two brothers Preston Sparks and Howard Sparks. She was a member of Smiths Grove Baptist church and was a homemaker.

She is survived by a son Jesse Cole and his wife Mary Pat; a daughter, Carolyn Glasscock and her husband Dewey; four grandchildren, Jennifer Mitchell and husband Keith, Jeremy Cole and wife Anne, Kelly Holdeman and husband Mark, Shelly Compton and husband Brian; nine great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Alta Crawley.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel where visitation will be held 4:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, March 18 and services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 19th with burial in Old Union Cemetery
