The Scottie boys tennis team rebounded from their opening season loss against Greenwood as they won 9 out of ten courts Tuesday afternoon at Gorin Park. Cody Jones won court 1 in a close match as he held off Jamison McFall in a tiebreaker, winning 9-8. Ashab Ahmed won court 2 for the Scotties, coming back from a 3-5 deficit to win 8-6 over Gavin Geralds. Sabid Mir, Glasgow's lone senior and playing for the first time ever, won court 3, 8-3; Brian Sadler played tough and won court 4, 8-6; Adam Garrett won court 5, 8-2 and Nicholas Stone won his match on court 6, 8-3. Dalton Bishop dropped court 7, 1-8. However Bishop combined with Stone to win court 3 doubles 8-2 while Sadler and Garrett won court 2, 8-0 and Jones and Ahmed won court 1, 8-1. The Scotties played consistent tennis and came back on several courts to claim the match. The Scotties are scheduled to travel to Metcalfe Co. Thursday before hosting Hart Co. on Friday afternoon.
