EASTERN STUDENTS EXCEL IN REGIONAL SCIENCE FAIR COMPETITION PDF Print

Eastern Elementary School sixth grade students Dulce Sanchez and Taylor Hensley won their division and Best Overall at the Southern Kentucky Regional Science Fair in Bowling Green after qualifying at the Barren County Schools District Science Fair. Their win qualified them to compete at the state science fair at Eastern Kentucky University. Dulce and Taylor tested prescription pill bottles to see if the bottles are "Child Resistant or Child Proof?"

 

Jacob Smith and Brooke Honeycutt, fifth graders at Eastern Elementary School, won second place at the Southern Kentucky Regional Science Fair in Bowling Green. Brooke and Jacob taught other students how to reduce the turbidity of raw water.

 

 

Eastern Elementary School sixth grader Katie Karl received honorable mention for her project, "Marbles in Motion," at the Southern Kentucky Regional Science Fair in Bowling Green. Katie tested how forces affect a marble in motion as a part of her continuing research in physics.
