Doris Jean Skaggs, 67 of Brownsville passed away Sunday in Brownsville. The Warren County native was a homemaker and member of Beaver Dam Chapel United Baptist Church. She was born January 21, 1946, the daughter of the late  Liman and Liddie Ray Whittle and was the widow of the late Charles Howard Skaggs

She is survived by three sons: Bradley Skaggs of Chalybeate, Kentucky, Brian Skaggs and Auburn and Shawn Skaggs of Brownsville; one daughter: Becky Merideth of Alvaton; six grandchildren: Alston, B.J., Morgan, Brianna and Addison Skaggs and Lee Meredith; one brother: Leon Whittle of Brownsville and one sister: Flora Cooke of Chalybeate.

Funeral services for Doris Jean Skaggs will be at 12PM Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Patton Funeral Home, Brownsville Chapel with burial in The Hawkins Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11AM to 8PM Tuesday, April 2, 2013 and after 9AM Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the funeral home.
