The Barren County Sheriff’s Department responded to a single vehicle wreck with injury Tuesday afternoon on the Old Bowling Green Road.

The driver of the vehicle, a female juvenile told deputies that she was traveling west when her 2000 Dodge Neon dropped off the right shoulder of the roadway. The driver over corrected, causing the vehicle to travel across the eastbound lane of travel, striking a culvert head on. The vehicle then traveled back across both lanes of traffic, coming to a stop after striking a guardrail facing.

The driver and passenger were both transported to TJ Samson Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Deputy Mike Houchens investigated the accident and was assisted by deputies Kevin Wilson and Rusty Anderson.
