ALLIANCE CORP WINS AWARDS FOR GHS AND SKyPAC PROJECTS PDF Print

A local contractor has been honored by having two of its projects receive awards at the annual Associated General Contractors of Kentucky Awards Ceremony in Lexington April 5th.

 

Glasgow High School and SKyPAC got top honors at 23rd annual Build Kentucky Awards.  Glasgow High School was judged the winner in the $16 million - $25.99 million LEED category. Alliance Corporation completed the construction of the new Glasgow High School in August 2012. The project consisted of 58,813 square feet of new classrooms, administration, cafeteria, auditorium, and auxiliary space, among other innovative uses of the parts of the existing gym, band room and vo-tech area.

 

The Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center (SKYPAC) was judged the winner in the $16 million - $25.99 million building category. Alliance Corporation completed SKyPAC in March 2012. It is a state-of-the-art performing arts center that consists of an 1,800 seat proscenium theater and associated support spaces including a rehearsal hall, a dance studio, music practice rooms, art gallery and community accessible classrooms.
