The preliminary report into a hit and run accident yesterday has been released by Glasgow Police.  At 7:30 Tuesday night Police responded to the entrance to Akebono on Cleveland Avenue/ Highway 1297.  A vehicle driven by 26 year old Anthony Thomas had been struck and the other left the scene without stopping.  That vehicle was being driven by 47 year old Charles H. Goidel of Glasgow.  Witnesses indicated that Goidel was traveling west and swerved off the road striking the Thomas vehicle, then continued driving off the shoulder striking a road sign.  Goidel continued up to Donnelly Drive and turned around, traveled east on 1297 and attempted to turn into a residnece but missed the driveway, driving instead into a ditch.  Goidel was arrested on Charges of DUI, Driving on a DUI suspended license, Wanton Endangerment, Leaving the scene of an accident, and  Failure to Maintain Insurance.  Anthony Thomas was taken to T.J. Samson Hospital for treatment of injuries.  A passenger in the Goidel vehicle, 43 year old Regina M. Boston of Glasgow received head injuries in the incident.  Officers Houchens and Meek were involved in the investigation.
