Saturday, April 27, 2013, at 3:34 Glasgow Police were contacted by the Department of Probation and Parole regarding the whereabouts of 23 year old Wesley T. Graves of Glasgow as he was wanted for Probation Violation.

At 3:39 pm, Officer Fletcher made contact with Graves in the Walmart parking lot and upon making effort to apprehend him, Graves fled in the vehicle he was in making his way to Highway 90 and continuing to Cave City with Officer Fletcher and Sgt. Burton in pursuit.

Kentucky State Police were called to assist in the pursuit at 3:43 pm.

Sgt. Burton and Officer Fletcher were able to stop Graves at the north entrance ramp to I-65, however, when Sgt. Burton exited his marked cruiser to approach Graves, he attempted to drive the vehicle he was operating into Sgt. Burton. In response, Sgt. Burton fired 4 rounds from his issued service weapon, none of them hitting Graves, who then continued northbound on I-65 where he struck Kentucky State Police Master Trooper Jonathan Holbrook's marked cruiser.

Glasgow Officers were advised at this point to terminate their pursuit and returned to the City.

The pursuit then continued to Hart County near the 70 mile point marker where it finally came to end when Trooper Daniel White used legal intervention causing the Graves vehicle to strike the concrete barrier wall.
