Jimmy Darrel Basham, 66, of Scottsville died at 4:54 a.m. Friday, March 24, 2013 at the Medical Center at Scottsville.  The Round Hill, KY native was a retired employee of Allen County Farmers Service and a Viet Nam U.S. Army veteran.  He was a son of the late Vollie Basham and Mary Francis Lawrence Basham.

He is survived by his companion:  Joyce Ann Newnum, Scottsville, KY; a son:  James Michael Basham and wife, Michelle, Park City, KY;a daughter: Sherry Dean Nichols and husband, Joe, Bowling Green, KY; a step daughter: Brenda Lee Cummings, Scottsville, KY;3 brothers:  Tommy Basham and Virgil Basham, both of Round Hill, KY; Toby Basham, Bowling Green, KY; 6 sisters:  Loretta Dicicco, Edith Young, Marla Cline, Jeretta Houchens, Diane Ladd and Lisa Clothier, all of Bowling Green, KY.7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by a brother:  Lonnie Basham.

Funeral services for Jimmy Darrel Basham will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Goad Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Richard Lynn Herrington officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery with military honors by Ft. Campbell.   Visitation will be after 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Goad Funeral Home.
