Charles Paul “Skinner” Blakely, age 67, of the Peytonsburg Community in Cumberland County Kentucky passed away on Friday, May 24, 2013 at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, Kentucky. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on Tuesday, November 27, 1945, the son of John C. and Agnes Roach Blakely. He was a dock worker for Hendricks Creek Resort and was of Methodist Faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Louise Williams, Ola Irwin, his brothers, Dennis Blakely, Merle Blakely and Sonny Lawson.

Survivors include his wife, Rachel Ann Jones Blakely of Peytonsburg, Kentucky, Paula Jean Davidson of Peytonsburg, Kentucky and his special son-in-law, Joey Carter of Peytonsburg, Kentucky, his siblings, Claudine Doss, Mae Wilkerson, Debbie Bernard, Phyllis Steenbergen, Becky Bowmen, Johnny  Blakely, James Blakely, Eddie Blakely and Mike Blakely, all of Indianapolis, Indiana, his Grandson, Stevie Joe Davidson, his special granddaughter, Mara Key, his great-grandchildren, Kylie Joe Shaye Key and Charles Kane Davidson.

Funeral services for Charles Paul "Skinner" Blakely will be held Monday May 27, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Blakely and Bro. Gary Cash officiating, Burial will be in the Scott Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday May 26, 2013 after 3:00 p.m. until the funeral hour on Monday.
