Lecta White Moore, 91, of  Tompkinsville, KY passed away Friday, June 7th, at Monroe County Medical Center. Lecta was born in Monroe County, KY on November 14, 1921, a daughter of the late Viola (Abney) and David  White. She was the widow of  Glen who passed away, May 10, 1984. She was a member of Maeshack Missionary Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Lecta is  survived by three daughters, Dorothy  Booher, of Tompkinsville, KY; Rita Whaley, of Celina, TN and Joyce  King, of Tompkinsville, KY; six sons Billy Joe Moore; Cecil Moore; James Moore, all of Tompkinsville, KY; A.D. Moore, of Indianapolis, IN; Delmas Moore, of Smithville, TN; Odell Moore, of Moss, TN;  a brother, John White, of Tompkinsville, KY.  Also surviving; 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; David and Viola White, her husband ;Glen Moore,  two brothers; Denton and Dennis White and three sisters; Ethel Geralds, Effie Brown and Lelo Moore.

Funeral services will be held at Yokley Trible Funeral Home at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, June 10th. Bro. Stanley Wooden and Martin Ballard officiating. Visitation is Saturday after 4:00 P.M. and will continue until funeral time on Monday at Yokley Trible Funeral Home. Burial is in the Centerpoint Cemetery.
