Amos Lynn “Tinker” Scott, 85, of Tompkinsville, passed away Friday, June 28, 2013 at the Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville. He was born August 7, 1927 in Monroe County, KY to the late Byrd Scott and Vestie Kingery Scott. He was a retired factory worker for Insley Manufacturing. He was united in marriage on March 9, 1946 to Juanita Howard in Indianapolis, IN.

He is survived by his wife: Juanita Howard Scott of Tompkinsville, five sons: Tommie, Richard, Robert and Gary Scott all of Indianapolis, Randall Scott of Roundhill, KY, one daughter: Brenda Auble of Indianapolis, half brother: Gene Scott of Gamaliel, half sister: Rachel Dotson of Gallatin, TN, 26 grandchildren  17 great grandchildren  3 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son: George Scott, two daughters: Carla Jo Stephenson and Shelia Bryant, one brother: Aaron Scott and three sisters: Mary Lee Davis, Pearl Scott and Nellie Hatcher.

Funeral services for Amos Lyn "Tinker" Scoot will be conducted Monday, July 1, at 3:00 PM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in the Beautiful Home Cemetery.Visitation will be after 1:00 PM on Sunday and after 7:30 AM on Monday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville. Memorials are suggested to the Beautiful Home Cemetery.
