Officer Terrill Riley made a traffic stop on 43-year-old Gene Williams of Glasgow on Saturday for speeding 16 mph over the speed limit. After a brief investigation with Williams, Officer Riley determined that Williams was under the influence of alcohol. Williams failed all field sobriety tests. He was arrested and charged with DUI 2nd degree, Operating on a suspended license as the result of previous DUI conviction, and Possession of suspected marijuana and no liability insurance. He was transported to the Barren County Detention Center.
