Barren County High School parents are organizing the first ever Glow Run in Glasgow, Kentucky. The Glow for a Goal 5k and kids run are fundraisers to help raise awareness for the Barren County High School boys soccer team.

Parents are hoping to raise enough money to purchase a covered seating area to draw more spectators during rainy games.

Organizer Chasity Taylor said there will be glow paint provided allowing competitors to illuminate the course during the night race.

The 5k races will take place at 8 PM on Saturday night. The 5k run costs $25 for adults and $15 for students. The kids run will begin at 7PM and costs $10 a child. Pre registration will take place tomorrow at the Barren County Soccer Complex from 5:30 to 7PM.
