ATV FATALITY ON DEFEATED CREEK ROAD PDF Print

On 07/10/13 at approximately 5:32pm, the Barren County Sheriff’s Office responded to an ATV accident on Defeated Creek Road. The driver of the 800 Polaris Ranger, a male juvenile, lost control of the ATV causing it to go through a fence, and overturn. All four occupants were ejected from the ATV. The driver along with two other juvenile passengers was taken to TJ Samson Community Hospital for treatment of injuries. Their status is unknown at this time. A fourth passenger, Kayla Giesbrecth, 19, of Austin was also transported to TJ Samson, but was later pronounced dead after arriving at the hospital due to injuries sustained in the accident. Deputy Adam Bow investigating the accident, and was assisted on scene by the Austin Tracy Fire Department, and Barren Metcalfe EMS.
