...HOT AND HUMID CONDITIONS WILL PREVAIL THIS WEEK...

THE FIRST PROLONGED HEAT WAVE OF THE SUMMER IS SET TO OCCUR OVER

CENTRAL KENTUCKY AND SOUTHERN INDIANA THIS WEEK. WITH HIGH

PRESSURE KEEPING SKIES MOSTLY CLEAR...TEMPERATURES ACROSS THE

REGION WILL TOP OUT IN LOWER TO MID 90S DURING THE WORK

WEEK. HIGH HUMIDITY WILL COMBINE WITH THESE TEMPERATURES TO CREATE

HEAT INDICES BETWEEN 100 AND 105 DEGREES IN MANY LOCATIONS. THE

HIGH HUMIDITY WILL ALSO PREVENT TEMPERATURES FROM DIPPING BELOW 70

FOR MORNING LOWS.

ANYONE WHO MUST SPEND EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME OUTDOORS THIS WEEK

SHOULD PREPARE FOR THE HEAT BY DRESSING IN LIGHT COLORED...LIGHT

WEIGHT CLOTHING AND TAKING FREQUENT WATER BREAKS.
