At last night’s Barren County Fiscal Court meeting, Jailer Matt Mutter made the court aware of a few developments he was looking into.  One of those developments is the use of personal recording devices to be used by deputy jailers when entering a cell or intervening in an altercation.  Several of the magistrates agreed it would be a good idea.  Another item Mutter pointed out was that the last remaining privately operated jail will be closing down.  He said there is a possibility some of these state inmates will be placed in the Barren County Corrections Center.
