GOVERNOR AND OTHER DIGNITARIES CELEBRATE GLASGOW'S NEW STATE NURSING FACILITY PDF Print

Yesterday at 1 pm, there was a Ribbon Cutting for the New State Nursing Facility here in Glasgow! Many important figures of Kentucky came to recognize all of the hard work put into this building. One of which was our Governor, Mr. Steve Beshear. Governor Beshear opened the ceremony with very pleasant remarks and expressed his joy for this new building

Also in attendance was Senator David Givens, who told us why he believes, that this is really a reason to celebrate

Representative Johnny Bell also took the stand yesterday morning, to express his feeling towards the building, and everyone that helped put it together

Other speakers yesterday included the Cabinet for Health and Family Services Secretary Audrey Tayse Haynes, Barren County Judge-Executive Davie Greer, and Glasgow Mayor Rhonda Trautman.

 

The event ended with a tour of the new facility, and residents will move into the new 100-bed structure by early September.
