The Barren County Sheriff’s Office responded to a wreck with possible injuries Sunday afternoon at approximately 2:49pm near Hiseville. Constable George Houchens Jr of Glasgow was traveling east when a deer ran out in front of his 2004 Ford Crown Victoria.  Houchens swerved to miss the deer and went off the left side of the road, down an earth embankment, striking a tree with the left side of the vehicle. The vehicle then struck a fence before coming to a complete stop. Constable Houchens was transported to TJ Samson Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.  BCSO was assisted on scene by Barren Metcalfe EMS, and the Hiseville Fire Department.
