On Thursday the Glasgow Police Department responded to a report of two intoxicated males at the scene of a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Pritchardsville Road and Oil Well Road in Glasgow.  Upon arrival, the officer saw no one at the vehicle but located 29 year old Kenneth R. Smith II at a residence on Oil Well Road laying in the yard.  When the officers pulled into the residence, Smith took off, on foot.  Officers began to pursue Smith giving verbal commands to stop.  When Smith refused to stop, officers used a taser to apprehend Smith and noticed a strong odor of alcohol.  Smith was arrested and is charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Fleeing or Evading Police 2nd degree and Resisting Arrest.  Smith was transported by Barren County EMS to TJ Samson Hospital.
