Kenneth A. Brooks, 77 of Shepherdsville, KY, passed away September 9, 2013 at his home.  The Edmonson County native was a retired carpenter with Priddy Construction and Highbaugh Maintenance and a member of Cove Hollow United Baptist Church.

He was born January 9, 1936 to the late Elbert Brooks and the late Linda E. Jaggers Brooks. He is survived by his companion, Shirley Brooks; two sons, Ricky Brooks (Linda) of Shepherdsville, KY, Joe Luckett (Kathy) of Brooks, KY; two daughters, Barbara Brooks of Louisville, KY and Lisa Brooks  (Jeff Daggett) of Shepherdsville, KY; one brother ,Truman Brooks (Carolyn) of Louisville, KY; three sisters, Lillie Elmore (Johnny) of  Mammoth Cave, KY, Millie Brown of Mammoth Cave, KY and Mary Williams (Bill) of Georgetown, IN; the mother of his children, Necia Brooks of Louisville, KY; thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister Roberta Brown; six brothers, Bluford, Virdies, Almon, Darrell, Norman and Wilburn Brooks; three grandchildren, Jeremy Shelton, Jason Shelton and Brandon Brooks.

Bro. Charlie Weible will officiate the services.  Burial will be in the Cove Hollow Cemetery.
