This weekend the Henry Clay Invitational Golf Tournament was held in Lexington and the Glasgow Lady Scotties fared well finishing in 5th place with a team total 345.  Individually it was Emily Alexander leading the team shooting an 80, Taylor Phelps an 83, Ashton Foushee 88,  Emmalee Lawrence 94 and Katie Jones 103.  Sacred Heart won the tournament with a team total 312.

 

The Scottie Boys played in the Somerset Invitational this weekend.  The Scotties shot 336, Led by Chase Landrum’s 3 over 74, Cody Jones 85, Michael Harris 88, Cole Swafford 89 and Dylan Lane 90.  Scotties play Tuesday in a tri-match with Franklin and Warren East at Kenny Perry’s Country Creek.

 

In Boys Soccer, in the Trojan Classic Bardstown and Glasgow played to a 2-2 tie.

In Girls soccer Owensboro Catholic Beat Glasgow 2 to 1

Grayson County Defeated Barren County 8 to 0.

 

Over the weekend, Barren County traveled to the Franklin County Invitational held at the Lexington Horse Park. In the Girls race, Taylor Davis led the Trojanettes in a stout field placing 54 out of 224 runners. In team scores Barren County was able finish 13th out of 29 schools represented at the meet.

The boys meet also saw a large field of runners. Barren County's Billy Mowery was able to place sixty -fifth for the Trojans out of a field of 279 runners. Mowery ran to a seasonal best helping the Trojans to a 25th team placement for the meet.

 

Barren County is approaching the mid-point of their season as Regionals loom closer in October.
