Bobby Ray Elliott, 80, of Glasgow, died Tuesday, September 24, 2103, at his residence in Glasgow, KY.   He was a member of Johnson Chapel C.M.E church. He had served in the United States Army. He was a member of the D.A.V. honor guard chapter 20. He was a member of the N.C.O.A. He was a Kentucky Colonel, Barren County farmer and avid outdoorsman. He played a major role in the book and documentary " The Everlasting Stream".

He was preceded in death by his parents, Shed and Stella Elliott; a grandson, Marcus Elliott; three brothers, Shed R. Elliott, Joe Elliott and Kyle Elliott.

Survivors include his wife, Cobert Jean Elliott of Glasgow, KY; a son, Stevenson Elliott (Valerie) of Riverside, GA; a daughter, Nicole Elliott of Glasgow, KY; one grandchild, Drena Elliott; a great-grandchild, Adonis Elliott; a brother, Alexander Elliott of Glasgow, KY. He played a major role in the life of Josh and Latoya Arnold; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 27, 2013 at Johnson Chapel C.M.E. church with Rev. Chris Curry officiating. Burial will follow in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.

Visitation begins at 5:00 P.M. Thursday, September 26, 2013, at Johnson Chapel C.M.E. church.
