***update***

Cleanup from this morning’s crash on southbound Interstate 65 at Exit 58 is complete.  All lanes are open and the 14 feet width restriction is lifted.  It will take an hour or so for the 6-8 miles of traffic to clear and for traffic flow to return to normal.

Crews have worked to open one lane of Interstate 65 southbound at Exit 58 (Horse Cave).   The detour around via southbound exit and entrance ramps, crossing KY 218 is discontinued, except for wide loads over 14 feet.  All loads 14 feet and over must use the exit and entrance ramps at Exit 58.   Traffic remains heavy and is backed up to approximately mile point 66, north of Munfordville.  Motorists should still be alert for stop-and-go traffic ahead.  US 31W through Munfordville is also very congested.  Motorists are urged to stay on I65 now that a lane is open.  Following US 31W to bypass the crash is not beneficial based on traffic volumes along the corridor at this time.  Local motorists using KY 218 and KY 335 (from Rowletts toward the Love’s Truck Plaza) should also still expect congestion and delays in the interchange vicinity due to the large number of vehicles trying to access the slowly moving flow of the interstate.
