Nellie Ione Copas, 89, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Sunday, October 27th, at Monroe County Medical Center. Nellie was born in Monroe County, on May 26, 1924, a daughter of the late Dona (Vibbert) and Evertt  Copas. She was a member of Old Temple Hill Baptist Church.

Nellie is  survived by two daughters, Margie Gordon and Shirley Jennings, both of Tompkinsville, KY. Nellie is also survived by five grandchildren; David, Jimmy and Tonya Gordon, all of Tompkinsville, Shaun Jennings of Covington, KY and RaShae Jennings of Hartford, KY. Three great grandchildren also surivive, Cybil, Brooklyn and Preslee Gordon.

She is preceded in death by five sisters, Alene Fish, Bertha Shaw, Daisy Gernead, Ester Alley and Mamie Casteel. Also by two brothers; Joe and Sam Copass.

Funeral Services will be held at Yokley Trible Funeral Home at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 30th,  with Darrick Proffitt and Billy Copas officiating.  Visitation is Tuesday after 12 Noon and Wednesday 6:00A.M.-1:00 P.M. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home. Burial isi n Basil Wilson Cemetery.
