William “Bill” Brown age 75, of Tompkinsville, passed away Monday October 28, 2013 at the Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville, KY.

He was born June 21, 1938 in Barren Co., KY to the late Robert Brown and Eula Smith Brown. He was a retired Insurance Salesman for Modern Woodman, a member of Maple Grove Missionary Baptist Church and served our great country in the U.S Army serving on the Special Forces. He was united in marriage to Sarah Faye Johnson Gillenwater on June 14, 1980 in Ft. Run, KY.

He is survived by his loving wife Sarah Johnson Gillenwater Brown of Tompkinsville. Three daughters Amelia Wilson and husband Allen of Kuttawa, KY.  Keri Eaton and husband Tim of Tompkinsville, KY.  Kellie Moore and husband Todd of Bowling Green, KY. Four grandchildren also survive.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one Brother Barry Brown and three Sisters Betty Turner, Bobbie Austin, and Brenda Earles.

Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday October 31, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Strode Funeral Home, Tompkinsville Chapel with burial to follow in the Beautiful Home Cemetery in Monroe Co.  Military rights will be conducted at graveside by DAV Chapter 20.

Memorials are suggested to the Maple Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
