On Tuesday, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the National Rifle Association, held several gun safety presentations for Preschool through3rd graders at Oakland Elementary School.  The Warren County Sheriff’s Office presents ‘Eddie Eagle’ Gunsafe Program, which is sponsored by the NRA.  This program teaches children in pre-K through 3rd grade four important steps to take if they find a gun.  Sheriff Jerry “Peanut” Gaines and his staff, along with the NRA, is committed to keeping the children of Warren County safe.  The Eddie Eagle Program has no agenda other than accident prevention-ensuring that children stay safe should they encounter a gun.  The NRA provides the materials in order for local law enforcement officials to educate children.
