Statewide, KSP preliminary statistics* indicate that 15 people died as the result of injuries sustained in 12 motor vehicle-related crashes on Kentucky’s roadways during the past week.

Through Nov. 3, preliminary statistics* indicate that 537 people have lost their lives on Kentucky roadways during 2013. This is 84 less than reported for this time period in 2012.

Year to date in motor vehicle fatalities, 203 victims were not wearing seat belts. A total of 120 fatalities have resulted from crashes involving the suspected use of alcohol.

As of Nov. 3, Kentucky has had 68 days with zero highway fatalities reported during 2013.
