GLASGOW POLICE DEPARTMENT MAKES TWO ARRESTS PDF Print

According to Julie Anne Williams, Public Affairs Officer with the Glasgow Police Department:

 

Last Monday, Glasgow Police Officers arrested 20 year old Jeffrey T. Hughes of Megan Lane in Glasgow.  Officers observed Hughes parked in a secluded area and upon making contact, noticed a strong smell of marijuana.  Hughes was removed from the vehicle and a search yielded marijuana, a marijuana grinder, prescription pills and a large amount of cash.  Hughes has been charged with TRAFFICKING IN MARIJUANA, DRUG PARAPHERNALIA BUY/POSSESS, POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, two separate counts of POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 2ND DEGREE, and POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE.  Hughes was lodged in the Barren County Correctional Center.

 

 

On Friday, GPD Officers received a call from the Hughs County Sheriff’s Department in Oklahoma in regard to stolen items that they felt were in the Glasgow area.  20 year old Cory Weckman of Roseville Road in Glasgow, had made contact with Tripple S. Ranch, the owners of the stolen items, and according to Hughs County Deputies, was supposed to have returned them.  GPD Officers located Weckman and found all stolen items in his possession.  Weckman has been charged with RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY and was lodged in the Barren County Correctional Center.
