Friday was a big night for the Glasgow Fire Department. During their Promotion and Graduation Ceremony, one third of the department was promoted and two new recruits graduated and became firefighters. Chief Tony Atwood invited the family members of each firefighter to be a part of the ceremony and allowed the promotional pin to be put on by them.

Congratulations on the following promotions presented on Friday; Brian Marr-Assistant Fire Chief, Brian Shirley-Battalion Chief, Kevin Jant-Captain, Cary Proffitt-Lieutenant, Jason Thomas-Sergeant, Lucas Tinsley-Sergeant, Corey Buford-Inspector and Chris Blythe-Inspector.

Recruits Katan Parker and Justin Wells graduated Friday afternoon and seemed happy to turn in their hats labeled ‘rookie. Glasgow Fire Chief Tony Atwood praised his department for the outstanding job they have done in training these two and shared this:
