GPD INVESTIGATE TWO HIT AND RUN INCIDENTS PDF Print

According to Julie Anne Williams, Public Affairs Officer with the Glasgow Police Department, late Friday night Officers responded to Joe Traylor Avenue in Glasgow in reference to a hit and run collision.  Shelbie Davis silver vehicle was parked and a friend has observed a white Dodge Dakota pick up truck strike the side of Davis’ vehicle and leave the scene.  Officers noted the make and model of the pick up and later observed the vehicle parked on Lauderdale Avenue with moderate damage to the front right side.  Officers investigated and ultimately arrested 39 year old Chad Allen Love of Lick Branch Road in Glasgow and charged him with LEAVING THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT.  Love stated he did drive the truck bud did not remember hitting the silver vehicle.

 

 

Saturday night, GPD Officers responded to Scottish Way in Glasgow in reference to a hit and run.  Witnesses told officers they heard a crash and found a damaged mailbox.  One subject had gone down MacIntosh Way and found a Ford Ranger with damage on the right side.  When officers arrived, they found 21 year old Ryan Dale Shirley of Adams Street in Bowling Green, sitting in the passenger seat of the Ford Ranger and immediately noticed the smell of alcohol.  Shirley was arrested and has been charged with OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER THE INFLUCENCE OF ALCOHOL, LEAVING THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT and CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3RD DEGREE.
