Elmer G. Hogan, 84, of Brownsville passed away at 2:30 PM Dec. 13, 2013 at his home. The Edmonson County native was a minister, farmer, construction foreman and a member of Mt. Zion United Baptist Church. He was a son of the late Johnny Hogan and Cordie Lindsey Hogan. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Leonard, Othie and Oliver Hogan and a sister, Orlean Sowders.

Surviving are his wife, Erma Dean Johnson Hogan; a daughter, Jannie Campbell (Wayne) of Brownsville; three sons, Rickie Hogan (Linda) of Bee Spring, Bennie Hogan (Jeannine) of Mammoth Cave and Keith Hogan (Martha) of Brownsville; four brothers, James Hogan of Smiths Grove, Virgil Hogan and Romie Hogan both of Louisville and Roy Hogan of Roundhill; four sisters, Omie White, Pearl Cherry and Nora Jane Frost all of Indiana and Mima Jean Stanley of Louisville; nine grandchildren, Jeremy Hogan, Emily Hogan, Michael Campbell, Tracy Campbell, Felicia Graham, Brandon Hogan, Whitney Moon, Chase Hogan and Fallon Willoughby; five step grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Poplar Springs United Baptist Church with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-9 PM Monday, 9 AM-9 PM Tuesday at Gravil Funeral Home and after 9:00 AM Wednesday at the church.
