Charles L. "Cotton" Cowles, 75 of Bowling Green died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013 at his residence. The Warren County native was a son of the late Hughie and Christina Watt Cowles and preceded in death by a brother Junior Cowles. He was owner- operator of several businesses. He was an Air Force veteran, a member of Smiths Grove Presbyterian Church, VFW, and the American Legion. He loved people and loved having his family and friends around him.

Survivors include his wife Dolly Cowles; his children, Bobby Cowles (Donna), Gina Cowles Skaggs, Stephanie Cowles; step children, Lance Lesh, Triston Evans, Charlie Evans, Robert Evans, Kathy Warden; six grandchildren, Robert Cowles, Johnathan Cowles (Michelle), Andrew Ault, Caleb Skaggs, Sadie Skaggs, Heather Hood; six step grandchildren, Erika Evans, Carson Evans, Garrett Evans, Parker Evans, Meredith Evans, Christian Lesh; three great grandchildren, Micah Cowles, Elizah Cowles, Andrew Ault II; a sister, Kathleen "Pat" Harrod (Lionell); a special cousin who was closer than a brother, Larry Watt, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial in Smiths Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00-8:00 p.m. Friday and 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky, 5872 Scottsville Rd., Bowling Green, KY 42104
