Thursday, 02 January 2014 08:55

The City of Glasgow Department of Public Works is collecting discarded Christmas trees this year, and will able to recycle them.  Collections began on December 30th and will continue for two or three weeks.  Residents are encouraged to put court their discarded trees at curbside as early as possible on their normal garbage and recycling collection days.  The Department of Public Works asks that you remove all ornaments, tinsel and lights and take the tree out of the tree stand before placing it out for collection.  They also ask that you do NOT place the tree in a plastic garbage bag.

For more information contact the Department for Public Works at 270-651-5977.
