Thursday evening was busy for the Glasgow Fire Department.  According to Glasgow Fire Chief Tony Atwood, just before 6:00pm, The Engine 1 responded to East main and Lenna Drive for a report of a possible pole on fire. On arrival of firefighters found a small grass fire.  The fire was most likely caused by a blown fuse on an electric pole, which was quickly extinguished. Firefighters requested that EPB respond to check out the blown fuse. No other damage was reported and there were no injuries. Firefighters were on the scene 45 minutes.

Engine 1 then responded to Adams Place off Park Avenue for a report of a dumpster on fire. On arrival firefighters found a small fire in the dumpster which was quickly put out. No damage was reported and firefighters were on the scene only 13minutes.
