Monday, 03 February 2014 08:14

It was an extremely busy weekend for first responders and fire departments across Barren and Metcalfe Counties.  At one point, all 8 volunteer fire departments, the Glasgow Fire Department, as well as two Metcalfe County Fire Departments were all called out to various fires in the area.  The 911 Activity Report showed that are fire departments were called out to 10 field fires and one house fire on Saturday.  Director of Emergency Management and Chief of the Temple Hill Volunteer Fire Department, Tony Richey, was asked by WCLU News why the high number of calls.  He responded, “carelessness.”  Here’s Richey with a report on events from this weekend.
