A Real Estate Group known as Movoto has developed it’s rankings of best places to live in Kentucky.  The group’s website touts that beyond bluegrass, bourbon, and fried chicken, the state of Kentucky should be noted for it’s educational opportunities and quality of life.  The top 15 cities were announced recently, with the City of Glasgow at #10, just ahead of Lexington at #12 and Louisville at #13.  The #1 City to live in was Murray according to Movoto.com

The rankings were determined by a number of criteria including Quality of Life, Cost of Living, Total Amenities, Tax rates, and total crime.

The article highlights Glasgow by saying that it has the lowest cost of living of the top 15 cities in the bluegrass.  Low crime, short commutes, and the Glasgow Highland Games were some of the other reasons Glasgow made the list.

Glasgow Mayor Rhonda Trautman talks more about receiving this honor…
