Mary Jane Ford Conkin, 74, of Gamaliel, KY, passed away  Thursday, February 6th, suddenly, at Monroe County Medical Center, in Tompkinsville.

Mary Jane was born in Tompkinsville, Ky on August 10, 1939, a daughter of the late Mary Ann (Walden) and Earlie  Odel Ford. On July 4, 1957in Lafayette, Georgia she married Granger Conkin who preceedes her in death as of May 6, 2011.

She worked as a Office Manager at Dr. James E. Carter's office for 35 years. She was a member of the Bethleham Eastern Star Chapter for over 50 years, was a member of the Liberty Methodist Church and was a girl scout leader for five years.

MaryJane is  survived by four daughters, Sharon Conkin, of Tompkinsville KY; Marsha  Miles, of Tompkinsville KY; Deborah and her husband, Jerry Tooley, of Tompkinsville KY; Tammy and her husband, Jerry Bailey, of Glasgow KY; Eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, and was expecting her first great great grandchild.

MaryJane is also survived by two brothers, Aaron Otto Walden of Arkansas, and William Caswell "W. C." Ford of South Carolina, and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by one brother, Earlie Odell Ford Jr.

Funeral Services will be held at Yokley Trible Funeral Home, Tompkinsville KY, at 1:00 P. M. on Monday, February 10th,  with Bro. Gary Hardin officiating. Eastern Star services will be held Sunday February 9, 2014 at 3:00 P. M. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.

Visitation, Saturday 12:00 - 9:00 P. M..   and Sunday 6:00 AM-9:00 PM.   at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.  and Monday 6:00AM-1:00 PM   at Yokley Trible Funeral Home. Burial in the Liberty Cemetery.

Donations are suggested to the Liberty Cemetery.
