Governor Steve Beshear made several appointments to Boards and Committees at the end of last week.  
Glasgow Mayor Rhonda R. Trautman, representing local government, was appointed to the Center for Renewable Energy Research and Environmental Stewardship Board.  
The Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College Board of Directors has two local additions:  Mary-Garnett Richey, of Scottsville, is a retired educator and office supply sales representative at Barren County Business Supply and G. Michael Murphy, of Bowling Green, works at Scott, Murphy & Daniel.

The Judicial Nominating Commission for the 8th Judicial Circuit and District of Kentucky has a new addition of Gracie A. Hunt, of Oakland; representing Bowling Green are  Kim S. Dobler , a volunteer coordinator at Broadway United Methodist Church, Travis C. Russell, a banker and small business specialist at J.P. Morgan Chase Bank and Larkin Ritter, a contractor and developer with Scott& Ritter Inc.







































Detective Alex Wesley is investigating a arson fire that occurred 7 ½ miles north of Greensburg at 1801 Gumm Springs Road.  At 0358 hours Detective Wesley arrived on scene to find multiple structures and vehicles on fire.    The arson investigation is ongoing by Detective Wesley.  Detective Wesley was assisted at the scene by the Green County Sheriffs Department, Summersville Fire Department, Green County Fire Department, Buffalo Fire Department and the State Fire Marshalls Office.
